This was such a fun session. I mean, just look at these two laughing and playing and snuggling all over the place. You'd think I was photographing newlyweds, right?
Emily and Charlie have actually been married EIGHT YEARS. Isn't that incredible? Plus they each have careers, and also a set of twins and a house between them. (Fun fact: their twins are almost the exact same age as my younger set of twins! A set of little boys just like mine, and their birthdays are only a few weeks apart.) To me, this whole session was a testament to the power of laughter and fun in a marriage. I always need the reminder to not take things so seriously all the time, and to make time for little moments of joy no matter what season of life I'm in.
Both Emily and Charlie are professional ballroom dancers. They danced and toured all through college, and now Emily teaches ballroom dancing full-time and Charlie still teaches it part-time. It was such a treat for me to find a beautiful backdrop and simply tell them, "Dance!" I hope you enjoy this session as much as I did!
